Baltimore Badminton Charity Tournament

Thank you to everyone who participated in this years Baltimore Badminton Charity Open!

We had over 140 participants and raised $2,286 for the American Red Cross bringing the total amount raised since the events inception to $80,930!

We hope you enjoyed good competition, good friends, and had a fun weekend in Baltimore!

In my second year as the event organizer, I continue to learn what it takes to run a successful event. This yea’s Charity Open would not have been possible without the mentorship and support of Rick Wiker. Rick continues to guide me with the planning of the event and ensures that everything runs smoothly at the desk on tournament day!

Also, principally to thank is Thomas Plakkal, Thomas lent his years of experience running the tournament desk and in addition provided help setting up and preparing for the event. Thank you to Kevin Liu for stringing at the tournament and for donating a significant portion of the proceeds to the American Red Cross. Thank you to Kristina Page for your help at the T-shirt desk. Lastly, special thank you’s to Liyan Song, Ming-Yu, Long Meng, and all the members of the Loch Raven Badminton Club who donated their time to help set-up and clean up the tournament.
